Leaving for around a year - stock safe?
this is a pretty newb question. i'm going travelling for about 1 year next week. i currently have a significant portion of my assets invested in 6 ETFs.
is it wise/safe to just leave them unattended for the next year? they've recently dropped about 6% in the last week which is a little alarming. |

It all depends. How soon do you anticipate needing to touch the money?

Stocks aren't like children. They're not safe or at risk depending on whether or not you're doting over them.

[/ QUOTE ] I agree...if you are in 6 diversified ETF's...and barring a complete market collapse...you should go and enjoy your trip, and hopefully when you return, you will have a decent ROI Stephen |
