NCAAF: Louisville vs Rutgers

I know there is the game of the week on the NFLN that some won't be getting a chance to watch it. Rutgers vs UL is on in a few minutes and should be a fun game as Rutgers won 28-25 last year and it put them in the national spot light.

I didn't start a College football thread as this being a championship weekend I figured people don't want to be reading through cluttered threads on Saturday.

Let's go Knights.

Re: NCAAF: Louisville vs Rutgers

I should add that UL needs this game to become bowl eligible. I really don't see them being picked as an at-large, but it is possible if a bowl sees money in it. Rutgers earlier today accepted a bid to the International Bowl in Toronto vs MAC opponent. So at least there is some bowl implications involved in this game.

Not to mention I feel like UL really wants to pay Rutgers back for last year's game in Piscataway.

For those that don't remember or know, last time Rutgers was in Papa John's stadium they stomped on the Cardinal symbol at mid-field and UL came out and destroyed Rutgers, so lets hope that doesn't happen again.

I thought that only a 6-6 team could make a bowl if all of the 7-5 teams had already been picked??

Can someone explain why UL is -3?

I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Kenny Britt. Teel don't throw to anyone else for the rest of the game.

ML on RU looks pretty good right now... Brian Brohm better do something this drive or this game could get outta hand real quick.

Louisville is an embarrassment to the sport of football.

As a Kentucky fan I never thought I'd see the day where I would begin to pity them. Lots of preseason NC talk and they're gonna finish an ugly 5-7. Wow.

bills,

The whole preseason hype of UL makes this season an absolute joke. I'll admit I seriously thought they were going to win the BE this year. It really is an embarrassment.

Anyway, why the hell did Michael Bush leave early last year?

Here's to hoping that Ray at least gets invited this year to New York for the Heisman.

Re: NCAAF: Louisville vs Rutgers

I know RU is losing some good players and an amazing player in Ray Rice. But is it wrong for me to be really excited about this team next year with Underwood and Britt getting thrown passes to by an improving Teel? I think another spring and summer camps for Teel and he could have a tremendous senior year(RS).

I think this rule is a conference decision, and not all conferences have implemented it. The SEC uses this for sure. Not sure about the Big East.

Lots of rumors about him getting fired/resigning last week, but they seem to have died down. He has said he isn't going anywhere.

Agreed. But hey - at least you're still going to a bowl game in Canada to play Ball State.

And LOL at Louisville fans storming the field.
