$24/400 - AA played too slow?

Hero has $2500 left, pot is now $9400. Any way to get away? The tournament was still somewhat new, I had doubled up with a set early on. To fold now, I'd be almost at starting. I have a pit in my stomach. Do I need to call this?

don't love the flat call from the CO as too many potential callers behind...in SB or BB I like PF more...as played raise more on flop and yes...get it all in on turn

LOVE the flat call from CO. On tilt you might get like one caller behind you, maybe, which is fine.

Villian has no idea you have AA. That's the value of just calling PF. You have to realize that his actions aren't gonna be based on thinking that AA is w/in your range. He probably thinks he has the best hand. His line is consistant with AQ or KK (KK more likely). If he has QQ you got really unlucky.

Stick it in, hope for the best.

i like reraising preflop when this deep. flat calling is better maybe 30-40x bb deep, but this deep you have to build a pot. he raised utg, he probably has something he doesn't want to get rid of. 720 preflop.

that said, if you call, flop is fine get money in on the turn.

[x] Flop raise size is too low, 830 more into a pot of 1710 after your implied call.
[x] Everyone makes raise sizes to low, or at least people in general are much better at bet sizing than raise sizing.

When you flat call IP, was your only intention to call
small bets post-flop?

Either RR pf and take the lead, or be forced to wonder
whether he thinks his AQs is the nuts...or he hit his set
because HE HAS NO IDEA YOU HAVE AA!

Getting lost here is a great argument for just reraising pf. I agree with Dave, calling from the CO is a great deceptive move, but if you're gonna get lost doing it then it's probably not a good idea. Obviously you can't get away now, so put the monies in. Note that if you reraised PF, the 2 hands we're talking about, AQ and KK, would have almost certainly called. The value to flat calling was that AQ will stack off postflop now, whereas if you reraised he may well put you on KK or AA and get away (of course, he would probably just cheerfully stack off with TPTK, but whatever.)

Agree with all criticism. A preflop reraise is also good because I had recently doubled up and may be seen as reckless. Also agree that the raise wasn't enough, need to get used to betting bigger.

Anyway, I lost to a set of tens (on the turn). My own fault. Thanks for feedback.

Raise more on the flop so you can shove for a pot sized bet on the turn.
