You can't "run good early" in like 70% of majors for the past decade in golf. The variance/luck factor in golf is small enough that the term running good is not even applicable after a few rounds.

Its obvious that Sergio is a ridiculously talented player who tends to choke down the stretch thus far in his career. Running good, or bad, has nothing to do with it.

EDIT: If you want to associate things like being in good/bad form with running good or bad then I can see the connection, but IMO they are not comparable as one deals solely with luck while the other refers to actually playing better or worse based on different variables.
