title sums it up pretty well.

you load up the itunes store. look under the "new releases" section. click the "left" arrow once. look for Paper and Sand (sandwiched in between the new Mudvayne record and the Reggae Tribute to the White Stripes....awesome). and there we are.

the label that we signed a distribution deal with....well...they really came through for us on this one. we've been working pretty hard but the business is a rough one and it's certainly not like we're getting rich. so its nice to see some sort of legitimate progress.

i'd say we're rock. hard rock, but very melodic and certainly not heavy metal. though we do like heavy metal. and we have a couple metal riffs.

the singer sounds sorta like jeff buckley mixed with modest mouse. the music sounds like radiohead + the police + iron maiden. but then we also really really love erykah badu and fiona apple...so who the [censored] knows.

we all went to music school so there are some serious polyrhythms and advanced harmonic structures (not too much on this cd...but a lot more on our upcoming record). but we first and foremost love pop/rock music so the songs are still 3 1/2 minutes, vocal-centric, with verse/chorus structure.

by the sound of that music you will be having a [censored] ton of 16-21 yr old suburban pigment defecient females as your core audience. Not that thats bad or anything cause youll get made puzz. But i dont see many guys (that are not emo) supporting that music.

i'm pretty confident that the new record will outdo the old one.....we're saving the best songs for when the new record actually drops, and the stuff on the myspace isn't quite finished yet.

It's not bad - I don't really agree with your self-comparisons, I'd say it's more like a sort of Les Savy Fav/We Are Scientists/Jimmy Eat World mash-up in a lot of ways, but it's something that could get legs if you catch a break and get a single. Congrats, dude - it must be sick to see your stuff displayed so prominently.

For some reason, MySpace is only playing 30-sec chunks for me - you might want to look into that.

Have you looked into eMusic at all? That might be a good avenue for your sound, especially if you can get hooked up with a solid review and good connectivity with the "sounds like" section. It caters to music just like yours, really.

the intro to age of imperials on your myspace really reminds me of early q and not u (which i guess in turn sounds like fugazi), which is a compliment although it sounds like im saying "you sound like some other band". but i think i like the wolf at my door stuf more right now. congrats dude im envious.

And op, band seems decent, way too pop rock for me. Other people have said and I agree, I could actually see this band being popular with 16 year old girls (not saying this to be mean, just what I know from popular music in high school).
