Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

The only player I know from past sessions is UTG, hes a total donk and just posted UTG so u can figure how bad he is.

MP ($27.20)
CO ($78.40)
Hero ($100.90)
SB ($213)
BB ($130.30)
UTG ($29.65)

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG checks, MP calls $1, CO calls $1, Hero raises to $6.5, SB calls $6, 1 fold, UTG calls $5.50, MP calls $5.50, CO calls $5.50.

Flop: ($33.50) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, MP checks, CO checks, Hero??

Im not really sure, since I believe a big part of this guys ranges is pocket pairs, and this is not the best board due to that. I would CB this against 2 opponents, but against 4 Im not really sure...

Any comments??

I like checking here, because I can't see what I have equity against if i'm bet-calling.

its impossible for you to be drawing dead, so i dont understand how you cant see how you will have equity?

Good equity*

If somebody check raises on this flop, it seems like it will be with a set/2 pair much more frequently than a draw.

there is also the issue of there being 33bbs in the middle and you being the pfr, i think you need to bet here to thin the field, it cleans up overcard outs when someone sticks around with TT or pair+draw hands.

You could be right. It just seems better to check in a spot where you could very easily get check raised and not be too thrilled about getting it in.

I know lots of people would have no problem calling a shove/shoving if raised. But it seems like mediocre hands (1 pair) will call you, which is fine, but when raised I have trouble distinguishing if it's from a set or a draw and against people who you don't have a good read on, it's near impossible to tell and i'm generally inclined to fold to figure i'm up against a 2pair/set hand as opposed to a weaker draw.

So to avoid a difficult decision I still prefer to check here.
