what is the main difference between those 2 games? wich game is the softest... etc...

4 players.

6 max is more aggressive then full
higher limits dont really have full ring games going

I found working through the micro stakes that Full Ring was more profitable for me because I wasn't under as much stress to play a high percentage of hands.

6 max, if you are a bit luckier then average, with skill, you'll win alot.
fullring is not are a bit unluckier then average.

They both require different skills and you should dabble in both to be a complete player. 6 max requires you to be able to bet when your edge is very thin and also be good at hand reading since you need to know when you are beat. Also 6 ring, the goal is really to pick up alot of small pots. Whereas in full ring, you need patience. Patience to throw away mediocre hands when the pot is raised. Patience to fold when your opponent who is tight bets into you and all you have is top pair. Because the main goal here is to create and win a few BIG pots. So when you finally play a hand you are more often than not in there with a bigger hand than your opponent. You need to learn to value bet and get paid off when you have somebody outkicked. They are just different games and like I said, learn both and you will do better overall.

If you are oriented to FR play six max will seem like a different game to you but it really is just the same game with 3-4 less players. That does affect pot size and therefore drawing odds etc. It also affects the number of hands you should play because of the increased frequency of putting in blinds and position frequency. I've found the big difference is that in Full Ring you have guys that are playing with money collected from their ho's. They are looking to go allin because if they lose they get more money from the ho's. If the ho ain't givin up the cash, they will keep there pimp hand strong. 6 max you got guys playing that are trying to make enough money to support a $800 a week crack habit. Needless to say they play like ROCKS. Sorry if I am repeating the obvious.
