By far one of the weirdest opponents I ever played which explains the limp.

Wow, I just played and posted a hand similar to this, and I thought you were my opponent. Very weird.

anyways...

Your opponent's play was weird (given the flop), but I think he thought you missed and that he was extracting.

It is possible villain played his hand perfectly here.

Re: Someone Explain this Hand

While I think the villain would've played it very well if the flop hadn't been monotone, doesn't the fact that the flop is all clubs mean we want to raise a top pair hand. I'd hate to be in villain's spot if a club fell on the turn. Or am I thinking about this incorrectly?

Re: Someone Explain this Hand

Villain limps, hero probably isn't raising super light so he can limp a lot. Hero minraises and villain obviously calls (I'd call ATC there). Now it depends what he has on the flop, but peeling the flop and basically shoving the turn is going to be the perfect play with a lot of hands depending on how hero plays and what kind of reads villain has on hero.

Even if villain is bluffing or something, I can't say villain played the hand any worse than hero did.

You realize XXXX is hero and he is the one limping.

Ah, that makes sense. Reading your latest explanation, I was starting to think you had it backward.
