Tonight\'s YouTube debate

Tonight in South Carolina CNN will air the first ever YouTube debate. This is so different because instead of journalists asking the questions, the candidates will be grilled by random Americans. At least that is the concept.

Since CNN staffers will select the questions that they think are most important/interesting, how is this really different from any other debate? If they picked questions at random and everyone who submitted had an equal chance, then it would be really interesting. Hopefully they allow a few oddball, out of the mainstream type of questions to get through.

This lols me. What % of americans believes that this debate will be different. All it is is some (I think) paid product placement.

The same people are choosing the questions.

The question from the black preacher about gay marriage was pretty good.

Anderson Cooper is probably the best interviewer of all the debates so far, imho.

I'm surprised that the canidates are not bashing Bush more.

Biden seems to really know what he is talking about.

I love when Hillary was asked about whether she would label herself a liberal. She proceeded to give the great traditional definition of liberal - talking about freedom and personal responsibility and then she said she wasn't that at all and called herself a "progressive". Yeuck.

I've always thought that the traditional democrat message was to say that you believe in traditional American values but pretend that it's possible to legislate "equality" at the same time. I'm a bit surprised she made it so clear that she's a Marxist.
