#3r tough AA spot
 

Up against the only stack that has me covered at the table..he has shown to be pretty active.. 31/10 after 60 hands..Can I really 3 bet the flop on this board?? The turn I can't justify a call..

well preflop is more of a personal thing but i like a 3x. but yours is fine i really dont have too much a problem with that

on the flop if i lead its going to be closer to 700-750 and im probably leading about 1/3 of the time. if i lead and get raised i will fold more than i call but its not out of the question.

other times i will check call, see what they do/see what comes on the turn.

given the turn, i would probably check again and if they bet pot (even in the slightly less bloated pot that i have created) i would fold.

I agree that I should have raised 3x preflop..I may be tipping off my hand by only raise 2.5 utg...

You don't feel this is a mandatory lead on the flop giving the texture of the board and risk giving a free card? Also why the bet of 700-750? Do you feel it accomplishes the same as a bet of around 900?

I also think you need to raise more PF...I'm a fan of 2.5x raises and such, but not when you're 110+ BBs deep, you simply have to raise more then.

Second, you need to be potting the flop, especially this deep, but even when reasonably deep with boards of that texture (regardless of what you actually have.) I don't mind the way you played it after that, the call of the flop raise seems reasonable, as does the turn fold.

the smaller flop bet would be to not create a huge pot on frankly a pretty scary, drawy board.

your concern for them to be drawing, or some sort of pair/draw that is still behind you is valid and i understand why you would want to get to showdown. betting smaller or checking will allow you to do these things as long as the villain doesnt go apesh*t with their betting.

So Dunkman says pot the flop and jonny says play small ball and try to get a cheap showdown..

Not sure which one I'm leaning towards..
