TP2K in 3b pot against nit.

reads: utg is 17/13 over about 50 hands, no other reads. donk is 50/30 ish over 100 or so hands. He can put q. a bit of money in pf with marginal hands, but doesn't seem to get out of line post flop much. He folds to cbets alot. This was the reason behind my 3b, to isolate the donk.

I've been running laggy 32/28ish i'd guess, and have squeezed before in this spot. the nit folded. However, players at 100nl don't seem to adjust to me very often.

I was hoping the turn was going to get checked through then i would vb river. If I'm checking am i folding though?

Stack sizes:
UTG: $104.50
CO: $232.75
Button: $98.80
US: $256.40
BB: $100.00

Pre-flop: (5 players) US is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG raises to $4, CO calls, Button folds, US raises to $16, BB folds, UTG calls, CO folds.

Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($37, 2 players)
US bets $24, UTG calls.

Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($85, 2 players) ($65 eff stacks)
US checks, UTG bets $35, US?

I'd probably value stack myself on the turn with a shove.

not crazy about preflop since he seems kinda nitty and is opening utg.

probably best to fold the turn since youre gonna be facing a river shove for his last 50 into a huge pot that you'll probably talk yourself into calling.

pf is marginal, i agree. I was hoping the nit would fold obv, and was hoping to isolate the donkey. I think it's fine, but i am open to criticism.

he only has $30 left after his bet, it's all in or fold for me

I make same play preflop... im open to criticism as well

I bet a little bit more on the flop....

Once you decide to check the turn you should probably fold to a bet from this player...

I would love to be able to suggest b/f this turn but the stack sizes just don't allow for this

in all honesty 50 hands isnt a whole lot to really say he is a nit for sure... i wouldn't be quick to take AJs and ATs out of his range so I'd also stack off on this turn about half the time

What about checking the flop? Very often he won't have a worse hand that he will call with and obv. you get in a difficult spot when he calls.
