Bet more on the flop and turn and given that you didn't get raised on the turn fire the river too.

Well for starters, bet more on flop/turn.

River really sucks since now even 9T got there...so maybe a blocker is in order?

Bet full pot on flop, that board is really draw heavy. As played bet the river, there are plenty of worse hands that can pay you off.

Bet way more on both flop and turn.

Srsly, I don't mean to be harsh, but...

How are you playing $100NL when you think $5 is an appropriate bet on that flop?

My biggest advice to you is this:

Move down!

At least to $25NL if not $10NL. If your game is this fundamentally flawed you are going to get killed at $100NL. In fact, I just pulled up your previous posts and sure enough:

Now I just threw a bit of money into stars (Thanks god for e-checks) and donked away 2/3rds

You're still spewing!

Please, please, please! For your own sake, move down and learn the fundamentals before you burn through a bunch of money making horrible plays like this.

I'm really telling you this for your own good. Usually by the time someone on 2+2 is playing $100NL they have a pretty solid grasp of the game and when they post a hand, it's a complex situation, a tricky spot. Or a strange hand.

That flop is neither tricky nor complex nor strange and your $5 bet is horrible and completely indefensible. You've just elected to pitch to Barry Bonds instead of walking him with two outs in the 9th, the tying run on first, second base open, the pitcher coming up to bat next, and nobody available on the bench to pinch-hit with better than a .200 average.

Or, if you're stubborn and won't take that advice, please PM me with your Stars ID and let me know when you plan to play.

Online players are much, much better than live players at the same stakes. There are a number of reasons why:

1 - Live, the lowest stakes are $1/$2 NL. Online, the lowest stakes are $.01/$.02 NL. So online the worst players are playing $.01/$.02 NL. Live they're playing $1/$2 NL. Online, $.01/$.02 NL is SIX levels below $1/$2 NL.
2 - Getting into a live game is far more casual than an online game. Live games often have inexperienced players stumble into the game on their way from the blackjack tables to the slots. Online you need to download and install the software, register an account and figure out a way to deposit. Online takes a far greater level of dedication JUST TO GET STARTED.
3 - When a player wants to make more money live, he moves up in stakes. Online, he multi-tables. In this way online players are able to put much more money in play while limiting their exposure in any one hand and avoid playing with better players. Online $.5/$1 NL players can make a nice living out of multi-tabling. There aren't very many live $1/$2 NL pros.
4 - No HUDs or Pokertracker live.
5 - Online players see many more hands per hour, particularly if they multi-table. More hands per hour equals more experience equals better play.
6 - Free alcohol in casinos.
