KQ on the button.. vs Blinds, is this raise bad?

When the villian min raises me should I just smooth call for pot control? If i raise I'm playing for my stack I just don't know if i want to do that in this situation.

As for reads, this is an older hand but I am quite aggressive from the button, however they had been pretty passive with their blinds.

I see no reason to 3bet this flop, just call it and reevaluate on turn
