Anyone interested in a prop bet that oil won't make it to $100 or stay above $100 for longer then a week?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd be interested, but what is the timeframe/horizon here?

[/ QUOTE ]

The next 12 months. If it does make it above $100, it needs to stay there for longer then a week.

How do we switch to biofuels when 99% of cars on the road need gasoline? Do you really think people care? (serious question)

The majority of people are not energy-conscious.

[/ QUOTE ]

actually 99% of cars on the road can run on blends of 10% ethanol and 90% gasoline

and a large and growing number of flex-fuel vehicles can run on up to 85% ethanol. some major models come as flex-fuel vehicles standard.

Don't know about the 99% number but any car in the USA manufactured after 1982 sure can.

IIRC Henry Ford was the ethanol pioneer in the USA sometime in the 1880's.
