Seems to me that the right thing to do is 3-bet preflop. Unless you've been doing it a lot already.

if your going to call here out of the blinds you either have to raise the flop or lead the turn.. to many times here the preflop raisor will check behind on the turn especially since there are no draws on the flop hardly...

I like leading the flop in these spots. If you check here, you make pick up a continuation bet if he has nothing but not much more than that. If you lead there is even a good possibility he will raise which will start to build a nice sized pot.

If you check/call the flop, and plan to check/raise the turn I think you get burnt a lot here when button checks behind.

I lead the flop, and all the way through if he calls it. If he raises then I have the choice to either re-raise or call hoping to c/r turn or donk-bet the turn, depending on several variables.

*grunch* I REALLY hate the turn check. Not only does it leave a strong possibility of a check behind (as villain could have bet this flop with nothing), but your check raise shows alot of strength, and this will leave the villain more likely to fold on the river. I think in these situations you might just bet out on each street. Sometimes when you try to be overly tricky you lose money and can actually give your hand away instead of concealing it. If you check this flop, you have to donk this turn i'm afraid.

c/r the turn more so the river shove isnt as much. i actually dont mind your line. i also think that donking the turn works too.

hmmm, yeah, i know, the possibilty of him checking behind on the turn is pretty grim, that's why I'm unsure of it.
at least with this line I shove on the river for less than a psb.

best thing to do just donk bet it?

edit: yeah I meant to say that in the op orange, that I should have made it a bit more on the turn.

i agree that we should donk the turn if we checked the flop. i'm wondering how people feel about donking the flop in hopes of him 3 betting.
