Old Mechwarrior fan
 

I enjoyed the old Mechwarrior series which was a 1st player shooter using robots, but that series was discontinued, so I was hoping I could get a recommendation for something similar. I was looking for a game that: has a multiplayer feature, has a design component for your machine and has a healthy online community. Thanks.

I looked at the wiki page for that, but I don't own any of the consoles its on. I'm hoping for a game available on PC.

seriously though they haven't made a good mech game for quite some time now, the two on xbox were pretty meh, but entertaining
