NL5, Trip kings vs shove?

Villain is a typical nl5 player. He calls raises preflop with a2c. However i have no idea how he plays post flop.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (5 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Button ($10.15)
SB ($4.15)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

River: ($1.42) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $1.3, Button raises to $9.55, Hero ???

Maybe i should of raised the flop, and definitely the turn to see where i was at in the hand. I think he most likely has an ace here.

Don't check this flop, c-bet. Turn I would consider a raise to about 1. River, I would felt.

easy river call. He'll show up with 2pr or a set much more often than a flush.

Bet like .40 on the flop

Got to bet this flop regardless. As played, you are sitting on trip kings. what do you think has you beat??? AA is reraising preflop. The flush threat certainly exists and could easily fit his betting pattern. Nonetheless, this is a snap call. Good chance he's sitting on 2pr or smaller set.

I read the wa/wb concept, which says checking here is best. However, i probably don't understand that concept at all.

I did call and he had Q4 of clubs for the flush.

You have some very serious flaws in your thinking.

Flop is definetely not WA/WB. Flush draw is definetely a possibility. Cbet here to get value from draws. An ace is part of his range, but so are other hands that you beat.

Never ever raise to "see where your at". Raise for value or raise to make him fold a better hand.

Raising to see where you're at isn't bad at all in some hands (this hand is not one of them). Its possible he has a flush, but i think two pair is more likely. I find a lot of 5nl players c/c with flush draws, then start playing aggressively if they hit it. I think you run into two pair or set most of the time.

His bets are extremely weak as well. I think you're definitely ahead, call the river.
