Is it considered a renewal if our paid membership has lapsed for &gt; 6 months?

Yes. Because you don't have to pay the one time registration fee again no matter how long ago you lapsed. You just pick back up on the monthly dues.

I just want to point out that Tournament Poker for Advanced Players by David Sklansky is currently out of print. The expanded edition is scheduled for release on Dec. 1, 2007.
