100NL; JJ in 3bet pot vs. TAG facing river bet

Villian is 23.21/20.54/4 postflop agg. over 112 hands about 2/3 at 100NL and 1/3 at 50NL.

Villian's 3bet me several times at this table and I've folded pre-flop each time.

So: call? fold? reasons. Anything wrong with the hand before the river?

Given hes 3 bet you several times already, i would probably 4 bet preflop and be prepared to get it in.

As played i would call the river seeing as how weak you've played it and how aggressive he seems.

REALLY, 4 BET PRE HERE!!

As played, smooth call cbet on flop, check behind turn...

I actually fold this river. We beat a bluff only. Villain probably puts us on a medium PP or maybe flush, I think a bluff of this value is less likely than normal here.

I'm folding the river here. villain seems decent from his stats/3betting history so I'll assume he expects you to make a stand eventually and based on that realizes this is a terrible spot to bluff.

really don't like 4betting preflop as someone mentioned

I might 4-bet pre given history, but calling is fine too.

flop and turn are standard as played. i'm really tempted to call the river here. I find it hard to believe that an aggro player would check an overpair on the turn given the drawy nature of the board.

also, if he's thinking at all, you played your hand exactly like a pair between 8s and Qs, so he might be trying to push you off it.

I call real fast, the only reason to call the flop is if you plan to call in this type of spot.

The rest looks fine.
