TT on Q98T board against TAG\'s stackadonk with 2 FDs out

5-handed. 100BB effective stacks.

UTG seems a somewhat stationy and slightly spewy TAG (doesn't like to fold much). Hero is probably somewhat ignorant of that.

Hero is BTN with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero is 68/13/2.23 and has a table image of being quite retarded; UTG has probably noticed that, but Hero has probably not noticed that UTG has noticed that and thinks he plays quite well.

UTG raises to 3.5 BB, 1 fold, Hero calls, 2 folds.

Flop Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($8.5BB)

UTG bets 8.5BB, BTN calls.

Turn T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (25.5BB)

UTG checks, Hero bets 20BB, UTG shoves for 68BB more, Hero calls.

I claim Hero played the hand perfectly, but a friend of mine disagrees and says Hero played the hand "terribly". Comments?

"Hero is 68/13/2.23 and has a table image of being quite retarded"

This post is a wank. Reason being - hero is a retard and doesn't even know if what the right thing to do is, so his intention and the correct play based on his image might match up occasionally, but it will be pure co-incidence.

Thanks for wasting 60 sec of my life on your masturbation exercise.

Raise flop.

[/ QUOTE ]Why?

We don't really want to get it in on the flop do we? If we do we are either drawing to ~6 outs or up against flush draw + overs so flipping.

UTG's not folding top pair against us anyway so the only hands we fold out are ones we were in good shape against anyway.

I'm thinking UTG won't double barrel much on this board and will just give up on the turn unless he plans a stackadonk.

what is his range for planning a stackadonk?

[/ QUOTE ]Lower sets, two pair, flush draws + two pair, flush draws + pair (not always but sometimes), straights (ldo). We got outs against anything but QQ.

[/ QUOTE ]Well, he plans a stackadonk with many decent hands imo; TPTK; sets; two pair; the turn card sucks so he gives up on some of them (but for others he picks up the spade draw making it more likely to want to stack off here).

why did you remove dollar values?

[/ QUOTE ]Because the stakes are somewhat irrelevant to this discussion imo.

given what you said about utg i dont think he plans a stackadonk on this board with anything less than the nuts

if he tries stackadonk on this board with tptk he is retarded imo

Jurrr 11-15-2007 01:57 PM

Re: TT on Q98T board against TAG\'s stackadonk with 2 FDs out

Hero's range probably has more flush draws and retarded one pair hands than straights. I think many more hands than the nuts can be stackadonked for value.
