Did you mean that draw spikes TP on turn? Anyway, turn seems perfect for a raise to 17-18. 44 and 22 would basically have to give away their hand with a 3bet or shove.

I dont like it but I fold river to an unknown. Kx would slow down at some point and this bet looks totally for value.

Wow, raising turn seems super standard, ughhhh

Thanks for posting this hand. Villains turn bet seems weird. Strong hands usually bet more than about 1/2 pot, then he fires almost full pot on river. Seems like he was hoping you would raise turn and missed value, or missed his draw. I'm curious and most likely call here and make a note.

Raising flop here is another option, since he does donk into me.

Raise turn? I mean, WTF. There are 2 posts in this thread advocating turn raise, and I don't see a rationale posted for either. Not that anyone cares, but I'm getting so pissed off with people not posting explanations for their reasoning.

So....we raise turn, and Kx folds. Great. We raise turn and get pushed on by a set. Great. We raise turn and get called and then bombed on river and...? Great.

Can someone please explain a turn raise to me. If I hear any crap about finding out where we're at I'll frigging explode.

Finally, do we have to hard-ass our way to winning every pot we play? I think not.

(Sorry, I'm hungover and very grumpy this morning, but seriously).

Chomp,

I think we should raise the turn too.

It looks very much like a lower PP, weakish K, or draw wants to see a semi-cheap river. A raise probably knocks them all out.

To me it just looks like 99 was a bit scared, then spiked a set on the river or he paired his kicker (K9).

I think raise flop and bet turn.

But river is a definate fold as played.

DONT raise the turn here, u dont want villian to think u have an ace, and indeed push with better hand or fold worse.

I would raise the flop, here u get info, if u raise the flop and he calls, he wont have a set or some big hand in most cases. Cos most players would push a set here (flush draw and all). If he folds u take the pot down (u want that right? cos u got a kinda weak hand) and if he calls and u hit ur draw, he will less likely put u on a flush. And u will get paid off more.

Cos if u call here and hit draw ull lose in the long run unless he is a complete fish. Sometimes i call flush draws, but usually I raise them.

So def raise this flop.

We have absolutely no reason to want to strongarm these hands out of the pot.
