2-7 questions

HI
i recently started playing 2-7 on stars.
I just dont really know how to handle some situations from sb and bb.
Is a 3carddraw like 23 or 2-7 enough to call a raise from the bb or to fill up from sb?.
What hand do i need to call a raise if i filled up the sb and the bb makes it one more to go?
thnx in advance for any help

With a raise and a coldcall in front of you, you may be able to defend your BB with 23, 24, 25, and 27 depending on how well you and your opponents play later rounds. Similarly with a limper or two in the pot you can complete the SB (in a 1/2 structure) with these hands. You can also defend the BB against an SB raise because you have position. Other than that situation, you don't want to play these hands in headsup pots.

I don't think it's ever a good idea to opencomplete the SB in 2-7, so you shouldn't be in this situation.

Okay one other question:
I know how to calculate the odds if i still need one card to come.
But how do you estimate this if you still need 2 cards.
For example you start with 257 in position heads up and get called by a guy wich discards 1 and bets out after the first draw.
What do you do if you didnt improve to a 1 card draw?

Fold or call once again?

The rule of thumb is: In a raised pot, you can always call one bet on the second round to draw two if you're absolutely sure you're drawing live.

Avoid calling bets on the third round to draw two.

There are occasionally situations where you would call two bets on the second round to draw at 2w7, but they're rare enough (especially at low stakes) that you won't go too far wrong, as a beginner, to always fold in that spot.

Avoid calling bets on the third round to draw two.

But your opponent will get so upset when you beat the 2:1 odds if they're still drawing one! (And even more upset if you beat the 12:1 odds when they're pat!)
