TD penalty ruling, was this correct?
Cutoff moves all in, player in the BB asks for a count, out of turn. Player in the BB was given a penalty for acting out of turn. Mahem ensued.
Was the TD right or wrong in his ruling? |
Re: TD penalty ruling, was this correct?
It seems to be a little on the unsportsmanlike side, but I've never heard of this kind of ruling before.

Re: TD penalty ruling, was this correct?
This seems horrible as the BB never actually acted.
What casino were you in? You should repost in the B&M forum though as they have a lot of regulars there who have decades of experience in card rooms (where MTTc has mostly of 18-23 year olds who beat up on the old nits) |
Re: TD penalty ruling, was this correct?
Cheers will do. For the record, this was event 1 of the Victorian Poker Championships at the Crown Casino in Melbourne.

Was his hand ruled dead?
That's just awful. |

Was his hand ruled dead? That's just awful. [/ QUOTE ] I'm a bit of a live n00b & don't quite know the ins & outs of what's appropriate. Are you saying it's awful that he'd ask out of turn or the TD's decison was awful? I'm so used to playing online & knowing exactly how many chips everyone has, I stuggle live sometimes to know much much to bet to make sure they're not committed, or *are* committed or whatever... |
Re: TD penalty ruling, was this correct?
No I meant it would be awful if his hand was ruled dead.

Was his hand ruled dead? That's just awful. [/ QUOTE ] I don't think they ever declare hands dead for stuff like this... not that this should have even been a penalty to begin with. |

Was his hand ruled dead? That's just awful. [/ QUOTE ] No, it was folded to BB, who called and won a race, after the hand he was told to sit out 10 hands for acting out of turn. |
