EPT Season 4 Schedule released

Thanks to pokernews for putting up the story.

EPT 2007/2008 SCHEDULE!!!!

Highlights:

- PCA now an EPT event
- new Prague event scheduled (though w/o an actual date)
- looks like all the events are $10K-US-ish buyins and most appear to be capped at 500 entries.

Edit: Worth pointing out that the WSOP Europe £10,000 event will event takes place a couple weeks after the EPT-London event. The Barcelona event unfortunately more-or-less conflicts with the Bike WPT Legends of Poker event.

I also noticed that there's now a sub-tab in the Stars "events" section for an APPT (Asia Pacific Poker Tour). Anyone know anything about this? I googled and couldn't find much.

The Australia-based PokerStars.net APPT is expected to launch with stops in Australia, New Zealand, Philippines (contract already signed with Philippines government gambling monopoly PAGCOR),
South Korea, and India.

Note that the entire Chinese-speaking world (Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Malaysia) and Vietnam are missing from the APPT due to government gambling monopoly turf-guarding.

The likes of PartyGaming, World Poker Tour Enterprises, and FullTiltPoker.net have all met with government officials in each of the 6 Chinese-speaking gambling countries and territories in Asia.

Apparently, the PokerStars.net APPT will target non-Chinese-speaking countries in Asia.

As for Vietnam, Ladbroke is the odds-on favorite to win the 15-year service contract to run all legalized government-owned online gambling in Vietnam (primarily sports-betting; status of poker not yet known.)

Not that it matters too much, but WSOPe is actually a few weeks before EPT london.

Timex: "A. The minimum age to play in an EPT event is established by the host casino. In most casinos, the minimum age is 18."

apparently, "most" confers that "some" don't, but the ones that list age requirements, all say 18+

That's what I meant...

Also, I implore Pokerstars/EPT to delay the Barcelona event by a few days, allowing players who want to play both Legends of Poker and the Barcelona event of EPT4 to do so.

Re: EPT Season 4 Schedule released

Looks like dates for the Aussie Millions 2008 have also been released, and the main event begins there 4 days after the EPT PCA final table. (Is that a bigger window for travel than 2007?)
