Criss Angel: Mindfreak
 

I watched my first full episode of this guy's show yesterday, which I think is one episode too many. I'm always extremely dubious towards these mystical "stunt-performers", whereas the majority of my friends seem to have some kind of religious experience by watching this guy use camera tricks to mystify.

Anyone been to a live show, or seen this guy or ones likes him? Or am I not alone in saying this stuff is just stupid?

All of his stuff is so rigged with fake people around him that it hurts me to watch his show.

I hate chris angel and can't stand his show but I like Derren Brown alot. Although some of their 'stunts' are alike. Brown is actually more 'mindfreak' than chris and chris is just a street magician.

I agree. This show goes beyond him being a good illusionist, which he is, to him being a downright fake with most of the 'magic' he attempts.

I've never seen an episode, but I did watch a youtube clip of him ripping a woman in half and the top half crawling away. That was more than ridiculous enough (in an ostentatiously fake way) to persuade me never to watch the show.

I sat next to this dbag on a plane. He was traveling from JFK to Vegas and he inherited an empty seat while successfully recruiting a girl he pretended to be his wife so they could sit together. He was drinking and showing her picture after picture on his MAC of him in front of these expensive cars and such. I could see them cuddling and then eventually hooking up! I was sincerely disgusted (and slightly jealous as she was clearly a 8/10) and when they landed I heard him ask her for her number so they could get together. He looked at me and said "How about you man...are you hear to see a show in Vegas?" I said that I wasn't and turned my head praying I wouldn't have to look/talk to him again. When I got off the plane they were having small talk until they separated at the baggage claim. I then saw her run up to some goofy looking dude and jump into his arms and say "I Love you and missed you so much" and then kissed him. I felt so bad for him. I felt even more bad for her that she was cheating on her bf with the biggest magic dork ever.
