Best Alt Covers of Pop Songs
 

I've realised recently that i like it when bands do good covers of good pop songs.

e.g. The Arctic Monkeys do a good cover of Girls Aloud's (UK girl band) 'Love Machine'

The Vines did a good version of Outkast's Miss Jackson.

Travis do an acoustic version of Hit Me Baby One More Time

and The Mad Caddies do a great version of ABBA's S.O.S.

Please reccommend me any more good covers of cheesy, but good pop songs done in an alternative style.

Theres to many to list by the best one, Phish , But the best COver they do IMHO is Frankenstein

The Dead - my favorite has always been Promise Land
The list is to long for both bands though

I don't think Gin and Juice would be considered a pop song, but the cover is excellent, nonetheless.

The Nirvana version of MWSTW is great but Metallica? Whiskey in the Jar? I have always thought this version sucked wild ass, maybe it's because I tend to like traditional Irish music and I hate post-Black Album Metallica.
