Stars 200NL: AK reraised pot vs. nit

Villian is resident Stars 200NL nit MRteddyKGB. Runs about 16/12/2, doesn't get it in without monsters etc...

Plan was to go for two streets of value (turn/river) vs. KK/QQ/JJ although I'd probably only get one but might as well fire turn and take a shot at two as I think he'll call turn.

Now that this happened I am clueless. There is only one combo of AA and I'm not sure if he's making the call with 77/22 because he typically folds to my 3bets (I never get out of line vs him). AK seems by far the most likely. What's your play?

Call turn, check river, puke if he shoves.

fyp ^

he will use this exact line imo with any pocket pair that hit a set or not

however he will only fire river if he has a set. u are repping a good ace or KK, and he doesnt figure you will fold to a riverbet with either.

a simple solution is to not get into big pots with guys like Teddy oop. im more likely to flatcall oop here with AK, and reraise with something like 43s.

I paid off obv, he had 77 as expected. Solid advice about flatting AK oop vs mega nits... will have to work that into my game.

those saying call, cc river, its such bad advice.

try to think about it in a longterm and understand why paying off is soooo bad versus a nit here. nits will check behind AQ, so now we're against a set or a pp that is bluffing.

now consider how often a nit will not show the goods in these spots, and consider how that factors into your metagame when you're making these dumb payoffs.

ofc u show "but if i fold, he will always bluff me here". BUT HE'S A NIT. he doesnt ever have enough hands in his range to make them into bluffs anyways. ppl then turn this into an excuse of "he's gotta NOT HAVE it eventually!". WRONGGGGG.
