WSOP Circuit Tunica 2008

There was a post on 2+2 earlier about the blind structures for the WSOP Circuit in Tunica in January 2008. Does anyone have structure info for these events? It is not on worldseriesofpoker.com. Please send me a PM or post if you have access to the blind structures

haven't seen any 2008 structures yet on the Tunica Grand or WSOP-C sites....this may be old news - '08 ME's are moving up to $7500 from $5000 - wonder if they are thinking about returning TV coverage?

Johnny,

Am I correct to assume Gold Strike will also be having another tournament series during the circuit event?

Is it a WPT event?

Yes, our WPO is scheduled Jan. 3rd-23rd, with a 10K buy-in televised WPT main event

Any chance one of you will do PLO8 or OE? I went last year & it will probably make the difference as to whether I go this year.

do wsop circuit events have cheap 1 table satty's?

Re: WSOP Circuit Tunica 2008

"cheap sattys?" - typically WSOP-C STT's are 24 X 7 & range from $50 to $500 + entry fee, and $300 - $500 megas.

O8B %500+50 on the 5th, PLO $500+50r on the 13th, and the $5K+150 PLO Championship on the 17th were the only Omaha events seen on the WPT website sked

In Tunica they usually run between noon and 2am in the morning but not really 24x7

They are available 24-7, but demand is ususally highest from 8am to 3 am for one table sats

Re: WSOP Circuit Tunica 2008

Sats at the Strike fill up, and when there are lines at night, the staff clears the lines fast. Even if I didn't like her breastages, I would think that sats at the Strike were the best around. I tried them there and the Grand last year and there was no camparison in the action. Looking forward to January already. Added note, the second chances at the Strike get LOTS more people than the Grand. They are good events.

I'll be playing in a few of the $500+/- nl events. Comparing the WPT vs WSOP which will have:
- the biggest field
- better structure
- more skilled competition

Thanks.

the wsop in january is a joke. all the action is at the gold strike. it's just down the road. more players, better staff, and higer payout. why would anyone go to the grand???

Why would anyone go to Tunica anyway?

The WPT Events at the Gold Strike are going to be better tournaments with larger fields. It is nice to have options, though, and if I were going I'd be playing the 6max and main events at the Grand for sure. Expect tons of horrible horrible locals, so $$$ wise Tunica isn't a bad trip.

Maybe they prefer playing in the room where the staff is unfamiliar with poker?
