Preflop: Hero is SB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 4 folds, MP3 calls, 2 folds, Hero completes, BB raises, UTG calls, MP3 calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (8 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets ??

First poker game I've played in months online. No reads, this is the 3rd orbit I've seen. Nobody's been out of line(Party's gotten pretty rocky )

Sometimes i bet this, sometimes i check to look what the action behind me will be. When i bet i would to have a read that how the preflop raiser will play overcards on this flop (always call, always raise, something in between).

I'd check and checkraise or fold.

If there are a bunch of players here who want to go multiple bets with strong draws and middle pairs, I tell them by all means, but check/reevaluate gives us the option of bailing in that event.

I would either bet out or check call. A c/r does nothing to protect our hand with the PF aggressor on our immediate left, so what's the point?

I'd check raise if it turns out to be a value type situation.

I'd lead and hope BB raises so our hand is protected.

Critikal -

If we take this line, we'd better be sure that he's capable of raising a worse hand.

In otherwords, it's nothing more than aesthetically pleasing if he's only willing to raise hands like AJ and qq in this spot.

Grunch:

BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET BET

and BET

i'm not saying that you should go nuts on this hand, but if you don't bet on this flop then you are playing too scared, i don't know of what, but too scared
