Aviaton Club Paris

Hi,

Wednesday I'll be making a trip report to Paris and the Aviation club to play poker. Just wanted to ask anybody that knows the casino what games and limits they offer and how their door-policy is (heard it was difficult to get into). Thanks.

Merci.

Perhaps I formulated it badly, but besides the facts I also was wondering about people's experience in the casino, especially the poker room. How are the players, are the waiting lists for the low limits big, was is the atmosphere like, etc?

Hello,
regarding the dress policy, you should avoid any sportswear/jogging/basket/short/Tshirt and so on.
You dont need a tie but close..

Players at low limits are : gamblers, young-players-from-the-internet, and fishes.

Waiting list can be from half an hour to 2 hours so go early if you dont want to wait (1pm).

I've never been to the ACF but i can certainly advise you not to go to the cercle concorde as mentionned earlier, its very bad.

You can also try another pokerroom close to the ACF (same owner) wich is the Gaillon.

Here is a map i made with all the Pokerrooms in Paris.

Enjoy the trip

Be warned, the smoking in the ACF is crazy. I played a tourney in December there, and stank for the better part of a week.

I didn't play anything other than the tourney, so I can't comment on the play there... But the tourney was a crap-shoot... structure really sucked...

Atmosphere wise, it's a nice place if you don't mind the smoke.

& Paris is great... Eat some cheese for me, ok?

I'm going to be studying abroad in the Fall at the ESCP-EAP, and living near Avenue de la Republique and Rue Oberkampf. Should I even bother with the closer rooms, or just go to the Aviation Club instead?

I've played at the Aviation Club before, so I know what to expect there. How are the other rooms (I'd be most interested in playing low stakes NL or fixed)?

You should try Wagram, no dressing code and very laid back with lots of fish. + there is hardly any waiting list, they just open tables as more people come in and usually you'll find a table with a couple spot open.

If you stay here a long time tou should definitly try several rooms.
You have a map with all of them in a previous post.

For low-stakes i's say there are the most players at the Concorde & the ACF indeed.
