I'm pretty sure it does, my bad. Now, could I run more than 2 monitors? Like say, a 30", a 24", and a 20"?

the GeForce 7800 should be fine for the 30" how many DVI ports do you have? I doubt that the 24' will run off of a VGA port.

he's asking because each of your video cards will either have:

a) two dvi (white) plugs

or

b) one dvi (white) plug and one vga (blue) plug

if you have (a), then you're right to go for poker stuff for ever.

I think the real question is, if your desktop lives in another state, why would you buy so many monitors for it? It more likely than not runs on electricity, not monitor meat.

I don't really get into multi-monitors past 2, so I'd check what nVidia says about lots of monitors, especially if your cards are running in SLI (which I suspect they may be, I didn't really read what you wrote).

To be honest, I was a bit underwhelmed with nVidia's dual monitor support. I just set up a friend's 19" widescreen LCD and his 30" CRT tv on one card.. The options were kinda limited via the newest drivers. If I recall, ATI had better options something like 3 years ago. Sad, but what can you do?

Re: Does my computer support 30\" monitor?

i had to disable sli, for some reason it wouldnt let me dual monitor.

im just in PA visiting for thanksgiving for a week. was researching a 30" because i 16 table and my 20" is old and getting dim, not very conducive to 16 tabling. a 30" would be nice.

what do you guys think of my 24 on the left with all my icons, 16 table on the 30 in the middle with my 20 on the right? lotta free space

correct.

sli essentially combines your two video cards into one.

i'd suggest your icons etc. on the 20", watching movies on the 24", and 16-table on the 30.

Re: Does my computer support 30\" monitor?

but most of my regular computer work would be coming from the side with the icons, wouldnt i want the better one to be there and the worst one as an afterthought on the right side? of course i may just end up using the 30 and the 24 because of lack of space. im thinking of doing the 3 monitors for baller reasons
