$10k at the 27s in 1 month challenge
 

i have offered a bet taking 1.5:1 that i can make 10k in a 31 days period playing only standard 9 man 27 dollar turbo sit and gos on stars.

the bet will go from this friday, november 23 at 3pm until saturday december 23 at 3pm. The bet will include any sngs started prior to 3pm on dec 23. if at any time prior to 3pm on dec 23 my net passes $10k i will be allowed to sit out the rest of the month and win the bet.

my screenname is mkgringo on stars, and i will be playing by myself the whole time. proof for anyone who logs a bet will be available by aim video chat.

the money will be given to a well known, agreed upon third party escrow prior to 3 pm, november 23.

my progress will be updated every day via the web, including day number, games played, hours played, total profit, etc.

proof of winning the bet will be official email from pokerstars.

i would like to book $4,500 in action on this bet, and have been contacted with regards to about 2,500 in interest.

as far as i can tell from sharkscope, nooone has ever even come close to this before. not even a little bit close.

please let me know asap if you are going to take action on this.

GL RH,

RH do you use any poker software to get reads on players since when you're 12 tabling you obviously cant focus on each individual player? That is unless you are Bobby Fischer or Stu Ungar.

You don't need too many reads in the 16s to have a 10% roi or so... some people 30 table for > 13%. Basic ICM and knowing who the regs are is sufficient. That said, I think 10k in the 16s is very doable, though I really think you should be playing more than 12 tables if you are comfortable doing so. I think you'll do it if you're motivated, so good luck!

to clarify, the number of tables i play at once is not a stipulation of the bet.

that's always a chance when doing these type of bets.. but when he's going to have to play 5k-6k sngs or possibly more I don't think a couple people getting in some of them is really going to matter much.

I've got you doing this with about 60 hrs/week over 4 weeks (28 days) at 10% roi 12 tabling semi-continuously. Obv at slightly less than 60 hrs/week over 31 days, or with same hours but slightly lower roi. I haven't played many 27s, but I have to think that a 9 or 10% roi is sustainable for a really good player (and as per faq). Burn out is another matter. Is this reasonable?

He's probably not going to have a 10% roi, around 6% is more likely.

I know it always is a threat, but some of those people are already regulars at the 27s. So they might make a point of it.

He's already given his sn, and I'm pretty sure he can't stop you from sharkscoping him without asking them to ban his sn from being searched. FWIW, this would be more than his lifetime earn on FT according to scope.

the start time of the bet has been changed. i have a last minute obligation friday morning/afternoon.

the bet will begin somewhere between 3pm est and 9pm est. the exact time will be whenever i start my first game.

the exact time will be posted on sitandgochallenge.com and will be confirmed by anyone who opens up pokerstars. the bet will end on dec23 when all games started before offical start time are completed. for example if i start at 6pm on november 23, then a game started at 5:59 on dec23 will be included in the bet.

FWIW, I'm at 7% 20-tabling this month, including a pretty vicious 1,000 game breakeven stretch. Tracker had a notes glitch that left me flying blind for over a week, plus I think I was playing my C-game for a good part of it. I'm pretty sure I can get to 10% or better 20-tabling once I get comfortable with the increased aggression compared to the $16's and get familiar with the semi-regulars.

So it's definitely possible, but be prepared to log about 5k SNG's minimum and you'd better play well.
