Didn't Keith Olbermann used to work for ESPN doing highlights? God he's bad.

That's probably why they fired him.

There is so much going on that you can't just pin it on him. Seemed pretty likely that the highlights and teleprompter weren't synced.

He wasn't fired, he left espn because Fox threw a boatload of money at him when they were first trying to establish FSN.

I have some stuff to do tonight, but luckily, it's a NE game so I'll be able to watch the entire meaningful portion.

Yeah would be really interesting to see the viewing figures for the first half and then the second half of NEs games. I'd be suprised if the second was 50% of the first.

Re: ***Official SNF PHI/NE thread***

My only fear with the Pats, is like every week is practically being built up to be the superbowl, that I don't know how easy it is to maintain that level of focus and intensity... just seems there's got to be a let down at some point... like they'll get to the AFC championship game, and it won't be as big a deal to them because every week has had the hype of that game, so they'll get beat by a team who is more amped up... just a concern

I love how I always try to talk myself into thinking that the Pats game is going to be close and competitive and except for Indy(and Dallas for a half) I'm always wrong.

Here's my theory on trying to beat New England:

You can't just sit back and let them kill you. You might as well throw everything and the kitchen sink at them. If you blitz and they hit you for long touchdowns, so what? They were going to score anyway, so what's the difference?

Might as well blitz like crazy trying to force turnovers. As for special teams, field position doesn't matter much, so try onsides kicks and go for it on 4th down. What do you have to lose?

If you don't support the Pats, you don't support America.

PFink,
That reminds me a lot of the Titans vs. Colts game awhile ago. Titans stayed in it for like 3 quarters.

I agree. You have to go into with the attitude that they are the better team, that is a fact. In order to win, you have to gamble and basically get lucky. But you can prepare better for those opportunities and create better chances to get lucky.
