NL25 - When should I have shut down?

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

Hero (SB): $30.95
BB: $33.55
UTG: $30.90
MP: $35.40
CO: $8.05
BTN: $25.55

Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG folds, MP calls $0.25, CO checks, BTN calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1.50, BB calls $1.25, 2 folds, BTN calls $1.25

Flop: ($4.75) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players)
Hero bets $2.00, BB calls $2.00, BTN folds

Turn: ($8.75) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $2.75, BB calls $2.75

River: ($14.25) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $2.00,

Raised with KTo in the small blind, as these people were limping fairly often and folding to my preflop raises a lot of the time. Villian was something like 10/4, and since the flop came all low cards and I had the King of hearts, I made a C-bet. After that, I'm pretty sure I shouldn't have made the bets on the turn/river.

Comments?

i can live with the pfr, but i think you're done on the flop. with 2 limp/cally opponents, your cbet is almost never going to take down the pot on that board.

edit: oh, and if you're going to bet, you have to bet a lot more than that.

preflop raise is fine given your read. bet ~3.5 on the flop and shut down after.

I really dislike your pfr. k10o from the sb is not that strong a hand to play oop. With 3 callers I make it much closer to 2 bucks if you are going to raise as you want as small a field as possible.

Your betting throughout the hand is awful.

Pot this flop.
Bet bigger on the turn
yuor 2 dollar bet on the river is just a wasted 2 bucks.

I used to make PFR's like this under the misguided notion that it was good to be the aggressor. Yes, it is. But you will not take this down PF nearly enough to compensate for the times you get called and spew a bunch of money in a raised pot OOP. Raise KTo when it folds to you on the button or in CO seat maybe. Just fold it here.

PFR is very standard in this case.

fwiw, I probably don't cbet this flop multiway, I would with the ace of hearts. The turn is a clear check though, and the river bet is just foolish.

Your bets scream weakness. I wouldn't fold a pair of 2s here. There's absolutely no point to betting this amount.

You either bet for value or to make someone fold. The odds that you are betting for value are pretty small. And clearly no one with anything is going to fold to these bets. So why do it?

Preflop is whatever--if you feel the table was weak-tight then fine

Leading flop is okay but you should have bet at least 3.25. The turn and river bets were bad in general, but especially terrible given their size. Check-call turn if facing a smallish/medium bet.

Yeah, I completely agree that the turn/river bets were awful. Bet sizing was horrible for sure.

So going with what most people are saying, in general, should my cbets be pot sized bets? Or is it just because the board is coordinated like that?
