Stars $10 - QQ vs 50 bb villain
Villain just sat down 5 hands ago. I'm new to 6 max. I read the whole "don't fold kk for 100 bb" thread, so i get the idea. Villain only has like 55 bb's, and he just sat down so i have no idea of his range. Given that, this is an easy push right?

edit: although actually, he's got 50bb. tricky, with no reads i might find a fold here. sorry, i've never played $10. still fancy a push tho... yo'll win more than half the time i think |

Re: Stars $10 - QQ vs 50 bb villain
At 10NL people's pushing ranges are wider than AA and KK. That alone gives you enough equity to get all in with a half stack. He can show up with AJ, AK, AA-KK, and any lower pair here. That's a good enough range to warrant a call imo.
If you're worried about what he has you could call and see a flop, but it seems like by that time you're already committed to the hand. If the flop comes something like AKx it's an easy fold. But even then I think you're leaving money on the table by not getting him in preflop. |
Re: Stars $10 - QQ vs 50 bb villain
Yeah, i just hate getting in 1/2 my stack. I wasn't really worried. If he has AA or KK that's the breaks, i realize that. I'm just new to 6-max, and i want to make sure i'm adjusting properly. If this is FR i would be more cautious getting all in preflop vs unknowns, but I know 6 max plays a lot looser.
I just wanted to see if I had the right idea on hands like this. |
