XPOST: Interesting AI thread in the Poker Theory forum

There is quite an interesting thread developing here on "Will computers dominate poker as they did with chess?" and I just thought it might be of interest to some of the more computationally minded posters from this forum. A lot (including Aaron Brown) seem to think that it will never be possible which kind of surprised me.

Even if you don't post then you can also make your prediction known in the poll I put up.

Interesting thread Juk, tyvm for the link, Poker Theory not a forum I am often reading - maybe should start

Hopefully thread has some legs.

I vote dominate btw - refraining from posting for now

It's certainly ended up an interesting thread and the results of the pole seem to be quite interesting (more votes needed!). So far 1/3 of people seem to think poker AI will be able to beat all players within 10 years and 4/24 seem to think it will never happen (both of which still surprise me!).
