One with a first prize of ~75k followed by a descending scale would make Full Tilt way more in extra rake than they would payout.

I dont think that there is much of a reason for them to do this. For it to make it worth it for you it has to be a big pay out. For it to be worth it for them there has to be a large amount of people doing it. I don't see either one of those happening.

What i would like to see is the monthly boards increased. You figure they could do that easily and will just make more money.

75k would probably be enough to get Joey and Gravy to move to FTP. Their rake alone would more than pay for the entire leaderboard. Of course it'd be hugely profitable for ftp.

fine as it is now IMO, keeps more people chasing it.
But bigger payouts would def. help getting more people motivated for putting in serious volume.

Full tilt is working on things to help high vol regulars.

Give them some props for doing the iron man bonus to reward the people that have played there consitantly for awhile now.

either way doesn't affect me or a lot of players so it wouldnt be likely to be done.

And regardless we should want promos that affect the mass's to attract fish.

change the monthly leaderbaord to weekly i bet they would make more money doing that too and take out the bottom 50 make next 50 get more

A weekly board would be so much better. Having to do a full month is a serious grind and it doesn't leave much room to do anything else but play 6-8 hrs a day, everyday. You basically have to have no work/school/no lengthy plans if you want to win it.

In January, June, July, August, September I didn't pay more than $2000 in rake, as opposed to Febuary when I paid $40k. If I averaged $20k in rake (which isn't even much) for those 5 months I took off of FTP, they could pay out $100k for the yearly leaderboard and break even just from me.

Doesn't it seem to you like it would be better for them to make a promo that makes you money while attracting players that don't play as often though??

A yearly leader board helps a very select few while its not an overly bad idea it would make you and ftp money but they could do the same thing other ways.
