Re: I just lost 19K playing Party Blackjack

Near Seattle, there used to be a small cardroom called the Hideaway. There was a floorman who worked there who also played in the games and bet sports with customers and was generally something of a degenerate. I will never forget the first time I cashed out $1k (a lot to me at the time) when I put the two racks of red on the counter and he asked me "flip for it, double or nothing?" I stared at him like he had two heads. He took out a coin and was clearly serious. I declined, but in hindsight I should have done it.

Well obviously

Also it should be noted that Leo's proposal-serious or not-stems from the fact that when I was chilling with him and a bunch of others in a hotel in suburban New Orleans following a quizbowl tournament and I played high card with some dude for $20

Also, some lightweight from the University of Chicago puked on some other dude's bed

Seriously, drop 19k in a casino and you can get hookers and blow, plus a suite.

Dave is wise.

I once ended up in Atlantic City with a group of guys I didn't know well. They were prep school friends of the college roommate of a good friend of mine, and most of them were Italian guys whose fathers had jobs that were never clearly described, but may have had something to do with construction.

This was back when I was first starting to play poker, and I was just there to play 2/4 with my friend. Since I wasn't going to drink, I was the designated driver for the night.

Two of the guys got plastered, lost about 30k collectively on table games, then disappeared with a hooker. I eventually had to pick them up from a different casino in kind of a hurry, since one of them had apparently stolen the hooker's purse while she was still occupied with his buddy. He had, of course, promptly lost her money in the pit.

Not realizing the situation when I drove over there, I had valet parked the guy's Escalade, so I spent what felt like an hour waiting for the valet guy to bring the car back, convinced we were going to get shot by Guido The Killer Pimp at any moment.

Those guys had a disposable camera, with which they had documented their tryst. I'd imagine that would qualify as a B+M screenshot.
