Interested in starting a keeper basketball league

I would like to start a fairly involved keeper basketball league. Post if you are interested. Details are below.

Entry fee would be $50 - $100. I would be willing to move it down to $20 if that will get more people interested. Someone with a higher post count can hold the money, if that's what the league participants prefer.

I prefer roto over head-to-head, but i will let the majority decide.

The will be a salary cap for keepers. Players will be assigned a salary based on the round in which they are drafted, and the salary will go up a fixed amount each year that they are kept.

There will be separate drafts for vets and rookies (maybe not for the initial draft). Each team will have two or three NBDL slots where they can place rookies. These NBDL players will not have a salary and can be kept for free as long as they were never on your active roster during the season. This will allow people to draft and hang-on to young players who take a few years to develop.

All of these features are negotiable and I am open to suggestions.

NBA seasons is still a couple months away, but a league like this can take awhile to set up.

Also...I'd suggest having people pay for 2 years to start and then pay a year in advance each year. That way if you ever want to quit because your team sucks, you have to forfeit one year's entry fee. Of course if you have a legitimate reason for quitting like a family emergency then you get refunded.

I joined the league Clarkmeister is in that he often talks about on here, when a spot opened up this year. It is very in-depth, but is really one of the best organized and run keeper leagues I've ever been in. Let me know if you want me to email you a copy of the rules.

I think Huskiez is only interested because he sees me as fantasy dead money from our baseball league...

Also, the league that MEbenhoe refers to (Clark's league) is pretty f*cking awesome, as far as I can tell.

I'm happy to help as well. It's by far the most interesting, in depth league I've been in, regardless of sport. I have a few friends in it who hate the NBA but keep playing because the league itself is so fun. We're in our 5th year and still have 11 of the original 16 owners, which is pretty amazing since like half the league was recruited off of fantasy basketball message boards.

I still have our initial draft setup which in retrospect worked really well. One thing to keep in mind is that the economics of the league really take several years to fully mature because of how contracts age. I think this year (year 5) is really where we are seeing things hit their stride.

I'd be interested in helping and maybe getting in.

Also, a lot depends on having a good commissioner. The league wouldn't be as good as it is without the guy we have.
