Price gouging at WSOP?

I read in a blog that cocktail servers won't serve people that aren't playing in a game. If want a beer and aren't in a game it costs $6.50 at the bar. Water costs $4 a bottle. Can anybody at the WSOP give some other prices for food items?

That and the 9% juice with the smaller buyin events, and Harrah's is turning the WSOP into the Disneyworld of poker.

(source was a poker dealer's blog that had adverts. You can google "Table Tango blog" to find it.)

It is only price gouging if alternatives are not easily available.

1) Go to the slots, stand in front of one with a player's card hanging from one of those gay little leashes.

2) Order a beer from a cocktail waitress

3) TIP

4) Repeat until drunk

5) Tilt off all the money you saved to the chubby white guy with a redneck accent wearing Poker.com gear

I got served while not playing in a game at the Rio last night. It was a Corona.

And even works in upscale casinos like the Bellagio. My wife and I will sit at the 1cent slots playing "Guess who's the hooker" and the cocktails waitresses will come serve you drinks (for the standard tip).

From my experience, this isn't true at all. My friends sat with me at the poker table at Bellagio and Caesar's, and as long as I tipped, the waitresses would bring drinks for everyone.
