Props to Stars re Datamining Cheats
 

Just a thread to say thank you to Stars for their recent actions against datamining cheats, as seen in this thread.

Using programs explicitly forbidden by the TOS of a site, and then attempting to circumvent that ban, is flat out cheating. You're breaking the rules of a site to gain information you have no right to, and that honest players can't obtain. IMO it's on par with what ZeeJustin did.

I hope Stars will continue to follow up on this and other sites will see the merits. Datamining is bad for the game and should be stopped for the long term interests of poker and professional poker players.

Yes. And I was appalled by the morons in that thread which were more than willing to assist OP in his endeavor to cheat. I know some people want to datamine, but its either allowed or it isn't. If it isn't, you need to go elsewhere or play within the rules. I don't cheat, and I don't want anyone to have an advantage over me, so I'm all for drawing and quartering the SOB's on the first offense.

Well, he should have been shot but wasn't. He did get banned and lost around $100,000 dollars(?) he had in his account. But, the rumors are he is back doing the same thing, just hasn't got caught yet.

I heard he struck a deal with party for part of the money back...just a rumor though
