loose or tight on 0.50/1$ 6max limit holdem?

Hi,

i'm trying to build my experience up on party poker at 0.50/1$ limit 6 max holdem.
I've taken loads of notes from different websites telling me to play tight and aggressive. That seems to be the only way to play.
I think that i am playing quite tight. only going for premium hands and trying to defend my blinds and steal blinds.
one thing i've noticd though is that alot of people are limping in with rubbish ie low off suit connectors and just wiping the floor with either me or others at the table.
it's almost as if it's better to add a bit of limping in to my game to improve. I find it hard to know when to do this and what hands are worth paying a raise that has occurred after me.
I know this might be a bit of a general question and might be a bit more for the beginners section but i thought i'd post it here just to see if any one's got any advise for these stakes games.

thanks

You're right, this question is a very general one and I doubt you're going to get any good advice except for read the FAQ.
