Help me pick a laptop, win $50 on FTP!

Hey guys,
I'm not the most tech savvy guy so I was hoping one of you 2+2ers could help me out. I'm looking for a nice laptopd deal. I want to get a higher end laptop but also get a good deal on it. It can be any brand but I'd prefer dell since I hear you can find sick discount coupons for dells. I would also like it to look nice. Under $1,000 is preferable.

Specific specs I'm looking for:
15 or 17 inch monitor can be widescreen or not
1 or 2 gigs of ram
good processor, no celeron or anything
good wireless card
dvd burner
webcam would be nice but optional
good battery life

I'll ship $50 to whoever chooses the laptop I buy. GL.

NO DELL.

I personally like the vaio laptops.

This one has basically all you need and you can buy and additional battery. Also weighs around 6.5lbs standard:
http://b2b.sony.com/Solutions/product/VGN-N385N/B
$999

If you can spend a few more hundos, this one is a lot nicer and weighs even less:
http://b2b.sony.com/Solutions/product/VGN-FZ285U/B
$1299

Aside from this they have a huge selection at this site.
Stay away from dells, i agree.

Just doing this cause I'm bored at work, and soon to go home. But I will gladly take the 50 and flip at PLO
