Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)
i think it's silly to have to compete for $T (the kind we can sell) and endure the variance. i asked stars why we can't buy the sunday tickets with FPPs (12,000 or whatever) and and sell them. they gave some bs answer i cant remember.

Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)
high vpip always equal stack off light too... Those 10NL games are so loose and passive you aren't putting yourself at a huge disadvantage by playing a large range preflop if you can kill them post flop...
im not saying this hand was playing badly or this even applies to this hand but its something to remember. |

party sit n goes are SO soft. Why? [/ QUOTE ] bc they want to lull you into a false sense of security before raping you in the back passage with unthinkable variance |
Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)
Oh, playing sng's at stars has nulled my senses, i don't think the variance at party can get anywhere close to the amount of variance i was experiencing at stars.

uNL...are any of you experienced in web design? Im interested in creating an internet startup...but I have completely 0 knowledge of web design. I'm wondering about learning curve (how much time and effort it will take to be able to make a decent website), or my alternatives. Obviously i'm not baller enough to pay market prices.

[/ QUOTE ] I dable in web design a bit - it takes a lot of patience but I would say that the concepts are easy to learn. I would suggest going down the PHP + MySQL route as it is the simplest and most readily available for little $$ as far as hosting etc goes. Also, best forums ever for web design: http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/ (its like the 2p2 of web design ) If you make a decent effort and you know a bit about programming.... I would say that you could learn the basic concepts of HTML/PHP/MySQL in about a month, and then it would probably take you about another month to create your first live website.... |
Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)

So is this game about flopping a big hand when someone else has a marginally smaller but still biggg hand?
|
Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)
Lol, I wasn't refering to that, I was refering to the fact you want to play nitring.
I should go to bed aswell. Dentist tomorrow morning, I [censored] HATE the dentist and haven't been in 8 years. LOL DENTISTAMENST. |
Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)
Correct.
|
Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)
What's a good winrate for nit ring?
|
Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)
Probably 3bb/100? Maybe 4? I'm not really sure, it's a more steady winrate but it's lower than 6max I believe.
|
Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)
I guess the high number of tables compensates the lower winrate then
|
Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)
I believe so. Again, I've never played full ring profitably for a long time, it's always been when I was bored and wanted to autopilot 12 tables, so take my advice with a grain of salt.
