Celtics want Reggie Miller

He'd be 42 at the start of the season.

There are also unconfirmed reports they're talking to both Cazzie and Bill Russell.

I guess when everybody told Ainge the Celts had to get older he took it seriously.

Hey Andy, nice to see you're still around. All your Yankee friends think you're in witness protection or something.

If the Celtics employ Reggie Miller in any capacity I will become a Knicks fan. Not joking.

LOL WTF?

It is super retarded for them to consider this. I'm an NBA historian of sorts and I can't remember this ever being successful. Actually the best example that comes to mind is Dave Cowens, but like Reggie he was a career player with one team, then he came back with another and that kind of sullied his legacy IMO (see also Jordan, Michael).

Bill Simmonds wrote a column saying the ONLY player ever to shoot better after he turned 34 other than Ray Allen was Reggie Miller.

Might work.

Actually yeah, it's not a terrible idea so I'm temporarily changing my mind and reserve the right to change it back.

If it doesn't work, sit him. His whole career has been catch and shoot after rubbing off of 17 screens, but I'd be concerned about him being a defensive liability. The good news is he's always been rail thin, if he stayed that way in retirement he may have decent foot speed and ability to stay with slower guards, or just put him on 3s and let Ray Allen or someone handle the faster player.

Why NT!, a guy from Boston, hates two players from Utah more than anyone else is something that I hope he explains.

Meh. He's a poor man's Eddie House at this point in his career.
