POG Scrabble: game thread and brackets
 

OK Magra has disappeared, I am taking over. If he comes back he can have his game back or comod if he wants.

Rules

1. Best 2/3 for the first 2 rounds, best 3/5 for semifinal and final. PM me with the results or post them here or both.

2. Games to be played on ISC. TWL dictionary (gay), 20 minute clock, DOUBLE challenge rule. If you don't know what this means, find out.

3. You have until one week from now to get your game played. If you can't contact your partner within the first 3 days let me know and I will put in an alternate. If someone disappears in a subsequent round you will get a bye. If you can't find time to play, whoever made more of an effort to play will go through, or I will rand().

I'm gharp on isc too.

We're playing VOID but I thought people voted for DOUBLE earlier? I'm indifferent, except that VOID makes it really easy to cheat by looking up words directly in ISC while you play. We can just allow that and not care, or we can discourage people to cheat and rely on the honor of POGgers to keep it legit (we'd still have to rely on POGger honor if we went with DOUBLE, but it just makes it a bit harder to cheat).

oops I meant DOUBLE. I'll ask a mod to edit. I agree DOUBLE is much better.

ok i just downloaded it but just so i know what is the twl dictionary? similar to the scrabble dictionary?

it's not "the" scrabble dictionary, it's one of several English language scrabble dictionaries. It's the one used in most US competitions and I think in Canada. I think it asks you what region you are from the first time you install the program, so it should be your default dictionary.

Tokyo beats OH 2-0 by using words that don't exist according to OH [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
