next card advantage in blackjack

What is the edge gained by knowing what the next card to be dealt is and optimally using the information??

Zero. If you truly used this information optimally you'd be asked to leave the first time you hit a 20 and an Ace came off the deck with the dealer showing a 6.

If you managed not to get kicked out your edge would come from two places:

1. Sitting in the 1 seat and varying your wager based on the next card.
2. Taking more/fewer hits and never busting/increasing your standing total.

One way to work out the math for 2 would be to figure out the probability distributions for what number the dealer ends up with and then figure out how often you'd be ahead of that.

Off the top of my head, I can't imagine you'd have less than a %10 edge with this information.
