NL10 8 high flush

I'm gonna start trying to post 2 or 3 hands fom each session. I dunno if this is a good one to post, mid-flushes don't come up often or give me too much trouble but I thought about this hand for a long time.

I open this hand on the button everytime, no history with this player but after about 60 hands they were 24/17/3.3. I had a tough time putting them on a hand. The turn pairing the board upset me.

you want to get all in, i would usually put in another raise on the flop. when he bets the turn just shove. there are plenty of medium pocket pairs he can get all in with, plus pair and flush draws. you do not want another flush card to come as it will either kill your action, or you will be behind .
so raise flop and get it all in.

I called the flpo to see what happened on the turn. I wasn't sure if the BB's re-raise was just trying ot take down the pot after the weak SB bet or genuine strength. I can see how I misplayed the flop though and agree with you.

Now that the board has paired and BB is still betting does the plan change?

3-bet flop. Probably call a shove. This is a fairly active villain who can be doing this with a wide range and flat calling is terrible because a club either kills you or your action, and giving a free draw to a hand that behind sucks.

As played...uh... hard. I think I probably fold, just because the river play becomes really tricky as well if he bets again.

ur call here on the flop is awful. you need to shove because e another club will either kill all of your action or give you the second best hand. Make sets and overpairs pay, and just shove the flop. its very unlikely someone flopped a higher flush

There are 17 cards (3 * 4s,2s,5s + 8 clubs) that may hit the turn that make you're hand vulnerable.

3bet that flop big and call a shove.

nope still get it in you have a very strong hand compared to his range, he has about 5 left when you shove. there are not really any two pair that filled up so you are worrying about sets. 6 ways to make set 1 for quads, and and some higher flushes. but 66-tt at least maybe jacks with six combos each. A5 with the flush draw. naked ace high flush draws the occasional streight, whatever you still want to get all in.
barring some amazing read that he is very very passive,
