AQ line check
Villain is a bit loose, but not overly aggressive.
PokerStars 5/10 Hold'em (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver) Preflop: Hero is UTG with Qhttp://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...miles/club.gif, Ahttp://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...es/diamond.gif. Hero raises, UTG+1 3-bets</font>, 8 folds, Hero calls. Flop: (7.40 SB) Qhttp://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...iles/heart.gif, 5http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...miles/club.gif, Thttp://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...iles/spade.gif (2 players) Is check/calling to the river an option here or should I bet out and fold to a raise? |
Re: AQ line check
Check-raise flop. Call down to a 3-bet unless board gets sloppy or you have a more specific read.

Check-raise flop. [/ QUOTE ] That does not make sense: I'm either way ahead or way behind. If I'm ahead, a check-raise might scare him away, if I'm behind I'm just throwing money in his pot. [ QUOTE ] Call down to a 3-bet unless board gets sloppy or you have a more specific read. [/ QUOTE ] Sorry, but if a player makes it three bets pre-flop, then three bets post-flop on a dry board, calling him down with a pair of queens is a chip-spew. |

[/ QUOTE ] That's why it's so cool to 3-bet here with JJ Something I often do just to check if you really have that queen. Also, you might check-raise a ghutshot here, and he will call a check-raise with AK. I like it. But that's just me. |
Re: AQ line check
I think you have to lead out on the flop, check/call down to flop aggression.
I dont like going for the c/r on flop, as if villain is not overly aggressive he may check behind with JJ or AK. Sucks to check and get outdrawn by AK. |
Re: AQ line check
Bet/call the flop. If you check and he bets you still have no idea where your at because he's betting any hand he's willing to three bet with preflop.

AKs
Board: Qh 5c Ts Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 68.687% 68.08% 00.61% 674 6.00 { AdQc } Hand 1: 31.313% 30.71% 00.61% 304 6.00 { AsKs } If he's loose he's probably more capable of 3betting KJ and AJ than you think. Point is board is draw heavy and there's a good chance villain has 3 pair outs and 4 gutshot outs. |

In fact, this was probably the first time I saw him 3-bet preflop. I'm pretty sure he does not have KJ or AJ. AK or an underpair is my best case scenario, but I feel I'm more likely up against AA or KK, especialy after a flop-raise. |
