Re: Lowest limit bankrolled and never looked back?

$0 - Pacific gave me $10 to start and then another $10 a few weeks later - still don't know why - maybe because I'm sssssuch a cool guy. Playing .25/.50 and am up to $300 in about 6 months - an hour a day or so - single table. I tried multi (2) tables and got totally destroyed. I'm old, even single tasking is hard!

Online-
my first two deposits of $50 several years ago.. gone.. then about a year ago the wife transfers $1 to my account, and I decided to actually learn how to play this time. I started at 2c/4c with the $1 and after about 9 mos am now at 1/2 and BR of ~$1400.00 (about $450 of that is from bonuses)

Took a $350 tax refund to vegas after the semester was over may 2005 to play 3/6 and maybe 4/8 if I felt up to it, lol. Ran good, won a grand in 3 days, got home and put half of my winnings online and started playing .50/1. Never redeposited, and I'm up in the low 5 figures.

freerolled at hollywood, won a few freerolls, built it up to $150, lost it all because i was stupid and played way above my bankroll, also realized that hollywood sux.

Then i decided to read alot more and put the effort into learning how to play the game correct, read some 2+2 books, joined here , deposited $50 on pp a few months back, ran hot, started at .25/.5, and now im up to $465 and still playing .5/1 with a little 1/2 too.

I deposited 100 into Party in December. grinded out the .50/1 6-max for the $50 bonus. got my BR up to like $300 and played the ministeps tourney. Won all 5 steps (how lucky) for 2k but withdrew most of it because I needed the $. Started 1-tabling 3/6 6-max then kept adding tables. now im somewhere around $1100. Hopefully I wont have to look back.

Re: Lowest limit bankrolled and never looked back?

$50 at Party playing $.5/1 full ring starting the week before thanksgiving. Ran that up to $600 (after taking out the $50) in about two weeks. Then reality hit and I was back down to $300 in a hurry. Been reading the forums and studying hard. I've rebuilt it back up to $580 in the last 2 weeks and feeling good about my play.

.05/.10 deposited $100 at paradise, stuck with the 300bb rule and moved up when I felt comfortable. Currently at 2/4 and about to move up. (when I feel comfortable )

Put $100 into Party and started playing .$50/1. Withdrew the original $100 and have been playing with other peoples' money every since.

dep $200 at Party 10/1/04, lost it in about a month playing .5/1 Researched more on Holdem and found bonus opportunities. Cashed out some of my BR in Sept for a nice trip to Aruba. Realized that was a mistake now. Currently at 1/2 6max playing 3 tables and chasing some bonuses to build my roll back up. I have the BR to 2/4 6 max now and will start soon.

What is the lowest limit you started at to build your BR and never made another deposit as you worked your way up the ranks?

[/ QUOTE ]
When you talk about not needing to make another deposit, are you talking about depositing into a specific site, or depositing into your Neteller/FirePay account?

When first starting, I had to deposit a few times into UB, but since then I've gotten much better at online play and have been making money.

I play all sorts of limits, so it's hard to answer your question. I guess my roll really started to build after my bro sent me $35 on PokerStars to use in STT's since he couldn't cashout (min $50 to cashout). I used it to play in $5+.50's and $10+1's, and I won about $300 in like 2 days at these limits. I was on a huge heater with about a 180% ROI in over 20 games that really got my bankroll moving.

I have had to reload my chips at a specific site from my Neteller account though, but my Neteller account has never needed a redeposit from my bank account or anything like that.

Free $10 at Royal Vegas. I decided to jump into the $10 NL and fortunately the variance did not run negatively. Deposited 20 to take my winnings out and move to party.

Re: Lowest limit bankrolled and never looked back?

My first year playing online poker,I lost about a grand and was down to my last $22 playing 2/4 and 3/6 limit. Didn't really know much about the game, but I did know playing for dimes and quarters was boring so I played above my bankroll.

Anyway, with my last $22 I bought into a $20+2 on stars and I came in 3rd. I cashed for about $1100 and never looked back.

Now I've gotten my original money out and also toom some out for a few trips to Vegas and still play on a few grand online.

I don't play as much as I used to though as itms becoming more of a chore than a fun hobby. I still play some 5/10 limit and some MTT and SnG's here and there.

Re: Lowest limit bankrolled and never looked back?

I've never played with a cent of my own money.

I used to play fake money @ Tiger, and then in Dec 2004 I found $5 real money in my account, so I started at 10c/20c.

My roll is $6,000+ and I turned pro this month.

100$ back in late Dec 2004, bsed my way through the PokerChamps bonus playing .25/.5 (it took forever), left with 500...
whored my way up to a 2k roll playing 1/2, about to move up to 2/4 when my car died, and that 2k went byebye.

now playing 1/2 with a 500 roll, hopefully I won't have to redepo and this car will last ;P

Re: Lowest limit bankrolled and never looked back?

after busting a couple times i put in $200 and said that if i lost that i will not play poker anymore. I said [censored] it and played 2/4 way underbankrolled and that was the last deposit i made. Actually there were a couple of times that made too big a withdrawal from my acccount so i had to replenish a little.
